OAV Edge Banders Integrate Nesting Technology for High-Precision, Automated Production
2025/10/20
Nesting has become an essential process for achieving efficient, flexible, and fully automated production.
In this workflow, panels are first cut and drilled by a CNC nesting machine, where all holes and shapes are precisely created before edge banding. The panels are then transferred directly to the edge bander for sealing, completing the structure of a cabinet or furniture component.

However, because the holes and slots are pre-machined — often positioned very close to the panel’s edges — a common challenge arises: traditional copy wheels may drop into these openings, causing the milling, trimming, or scraping units to cut into the edge band material, resulting in surface defects and reduced accuracy.
To solve this issue, OAV integrates a Nesting (multi-bearing) device into its edge banders. This innovative system ensures precise vertical and horizontal positioning throughout the entire process, maintaining perfect stability even when working on complex or irregularly shaped panels.

The result is consistent, high-quality edge banding, improved production efficiency, and seamless compatibility with CNC nesting lines — enabling manufacturers to build complete cabinet systems with precision, reliability, and speed.
